You may want to know some facts about me before we get into all the "why I became a teacher, artist, etc." stuff:
I grew up in Sandy/Estacada Oregon.
I love the trees. Pine and fresh cut grass are my favorite smells.
I taught snowboarding in college. I broke my wrist teaching snowboarding in college. I now have a titanium plate in my right wrist.
I am a teacher at Beaverton High School. I love my students and my work and couldn't imagine life without being some kind of teacher. I have a problem saying no to doing things. I have a photography business, I sell my artwork, and I am constantly learning about all things graphic design. I also want to open my own coffee shop. Too much? ;)
My favorite color is turquoise... or maybe its purple.... or coral... I haven't decided yet.
I don't feel like there is enough time in the day to learn or do all of the things I want to do, and I cannot imagine life without creating some form of art on a daily basis.
I love peanut butter and chocolate ice cream, painting with watercolors, pinning images on pinterest that I'll never look at again, and drinking tons and tons of coffee. <3
Little noses covered in flour, a kiss on the forehead, or a shaggy dog curled up at your feet.
I believe in family and love. Its cheesy, but true. My heart goes into all that I do. I'd love to share that with you.
I am passionate and curious about everything related to illustration, technology, and education. Working in marketing and becoming a teacher has helped me to develop my skills not only managing groups of people, but part of my job is to learn new skills and teach them to others. I love learning more about art and design and sharing what I learn with the world.
